The Escuela de Arte nº 3 is a public art school in the historic centre of Madrid, on Calle de los Estudios near the Plaza Mayor, devoted to metalwork crafts. It offers higher vocational courses in artistic jewellery, gold- and silversmithing, artistic enamelling on metals and costume jewellery. The jewellery course covers forming techniques such as sawing, rolling, forging, soldering, casting and stone setting, decorative techniques such as filigree, granulation, etching and enamelling, and finishing techniques such as polishing, patinas and plating.
