The Escola de Ceràmica de la Bisbal is a family-run ceramics school near La Bisbal d'Empordà, in a rural setting at Vulpellac, which describes itself as a centre for creation, training and research in contemporary ceramics and says it has more than 50 years of history. It runs summer courses and weekly, weekend and holiday courses in wheel throwing, hand building, plaster moulds and decorative techniques, and longer vocational courses with the Catalan employment service, such as artisan pottery and the reproduction of moulds and ceramic pieces, mainly for job seekers. The school also offers accommodation for students, and it has announced a merger with the International School Costa Brava from September 2023 while continuing its own activity.
