In short

ESMAD, the Faculty of Media Arts and Design in Vila do Conde, offers a bachelor's degree in Design in which students choose, through a portfolio and an interview, between communication design and industrial design. The industrial design branch includes product design and furniture design, digital workshops for industrial design and a models and prototypes laboratory; students are assessed on the work they produce, through portfolio weeks, rather than formal exams. The rest of the faculty's offer covers cinema and audiovisual, photography, multimedia and web technologies.
