ESMOD Oslo is the Oslo school of the international ESMOD network and since 2020 has been part of Kristiania; the school states that it has trained designers and pattern makers since 1990. It offers vocational college programmes (fagskole): a one-year programme for fashion design and pattern-making assistants, a two-year programme for fashion designers and pattern makers, which together cover the three-year ESMOD curriculum, and a programme in Fashion Brand Communication. The two-year programme is divided equally between design and pattern making (draping, pattern construction), and graduates present their collections to an industry jury and a representative of ESMOD Paris for the ESMOD diploma.
