In short

Espace VERRE is a non-profit glass art centre and school-workshop in Montreal, housed in the former fire station no. 21 on rue Mill; it became independent in 1986 as the Centre des métiers du verre du Québec. Since 1989 it has taught the glass specialisation of the college diploma (DEC) in craft techniques, in collaboration with the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, with a limited intake each year. It also offers intensive weekend courses for the public, professional development workshops with visiting glass artists, and a transition workshop for graduates.
