In short
The Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX) is an institute of Bahir Dar University. It grew out of the textile technology training of the Bahir Dar Polytechnic Institute, became an institute in 2009 and has carried its current name since March 2014. Its bachelor's programmes include Fashion Design, Textile Design, Leather Product Engineering and Textile Engineering, with master's degrees in fashion design and leather product design among others. The institute also runs short training programmes in industrial sewing, footwear design and production, and leather goods manufacturing.
