In short
The Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, known as Sutnarka, became a faculty on 1 September 2013, growing out of the Institute of Art and Design founded in 2004. It offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies based on studio teaching. Its Department of Design and Applied Arts teaches furniture and interior design, fashion design, ceramic design, product design and industrial design, and its Department of Fine Arts includes a metal and jewellery studio alongside painting, sculpture and printmaking. The curriculum also includes traditional craft disciplines, and the faculty runs the Ladislav Sutnar Gallery and courses for the public.
