The Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) in Kannauj is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, set up in 1991 by the Government of India with the assistance of UNDP/UNIDO and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Alongside testing and services for the industry, it runs training in essential oils and perfumery, including fragrance and flavour creation courses at three levels, a postgraduate programme in fragrance and flavour and a technician course in aroma processing. Training combines lectures and demonstrations with practice in its laboratories and pilot plant.
