In short
Fjordane folkehøgskule is a folk high school in the centre of Nordfjordeid, in Stad municipality; it celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2026 and states that more than 9,000 students have attended since 1876. Its Sewing and Knitting line (Søm og strikk) teaches students to sew and knit their own clothes from scratch: taking measurements, drafting basic patterns, reading commercial patterns, hand and machine sewing, embroidery, repair and redesign, and knitting with different yarns and colour patterns. The line has its own sewing room with a machine for each student and ends the year with a fashion show.
