In short

Forsa folkhögskola is a folk high school of Region Gävleborg about nine kilometres west of Hudiksvall, in Hälsingland, a province with strong textile traditions; the school states that its building was completed and taken into use in 1910. Its textile courses focus on sewing, weaving, design and knitting: a full-time foundation year that requires no previous textile knowledge, a further year of specialisation, and distance courses in weaving with design and in knitting. With Kultur Gävleborg it also runs a training course for slöjd (craft) instructors who teach children and young people.
