In short
The Department of Textiles and Clothing of Fu Jen Catholic University was established in 1970 and since 2017 has belonged to the university's College of Textiles and Clothing. Undergraduates follow one of three tracks: textile design, with a major in knitting, weaving, printing and dyeing, or knitwear; fashion design, covering pattern-making, design and production of garments and accessories, with a metalwork lab for making accessories; and textile and clothing merchandising. The first year begins with hands-on foundation courses in design and creativity, and the department also offers master's and part-time master's programmes, international exchanges and graduate shows, including at Taipei Fashion Week.
