Galloup School of Lutherie (Galloup Guitars)
In short
The Galloup School of Lutherie in Big Rapids, Michigan, is part of Galloup Guitars, which brings together a luthier school, a custom guitar shop and a repair and restoration studio under one roof. Its long-term programme is divided into four two-month stages (Journeyman, Technician, Master and a final stage), each with its own certificate, in which students build acoustic and electric guitars and learn repair, setup, woodworking, acoustics and current shop technology; shorter classes are also offered. The school states that housing is provided at no extra cost during training.
