In short

The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) is a national research and development body for the gem and jewellery industry, located in the ITF Tower on Silom Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok. Besides its testing laboratory and research, it runs a training department with annual on-site courses in gemmology, gold and precious metals, jewellery design and gem and jewellery production, as well as online courses in gemmology, diamond grading, jewellery design and the gold business. It also organises the GIT's World Jewelry Design Award competition.
