In short
The School of Horology of Gem City College, at 700 State Street in Quincy, Illinois, trains students in watchmaking and repair, clock repair, and jewellery design and repair including diamond-setting; the college also runs a cosmetology school. Instruction is continuous, so new students can begin training any Monday, and projects are arranged so that each assignment builds on the skills of the previous one, with instructors working with each student individually. The college is approved by the Private Business and Vocational Schools Division of the Illinois Board of Higher Education, and its president's message refers to its beginnings in 1870.
