Georgia Southern University offers a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and Apparel Design, taught in person on its Statesboro campus in Georgia (the merchandising emphasis is also available online). The Apparel Design emphasis builds creative and technical skills through hands-on work in apparel design and analysis, fashion illustration, flat pattern design and draping, while the Fashion Merchandising emphasis covers merchandising, textile production, trend forecasting and retailing. Every student completes a semester-long internship, and for-credit study tours visit places such as Atlanta and New York.
