In short

GIA Bangkok, the Bangkok campus and laboratory of the Gemological Institute of America, was established in 1993. It offers full-time, on-campus gemology and jewellery design programmes, among them the Graduate Gemologist, Graduate Diamonds and Graduate Colored Stones diplomas, with classes of 15 to 24 students and field trips to mines, gem markets and manufacturing centres. The laboratory carries out gem research and grading of diamonds, coloured stones and pearls.
