In short

The New York campus of the Gemological Institute of America is in the International Gem Tower in Midtown Manhattan, close to the Diamond District. It offers certificate and diploma programmes with lab classes in diamond, coloured stone and pearl grading and gem identification, and jewellery courses in fabrication and repair (including casting, setting and polishing), jewellery design and manufacturing, gem and jewellery illustration, and CAD/CAM for jewellery. Classes run year-round with no application deadlines; the institute's main campus is in Carlsbad, California.
