In short
Glimåkra folkhögskola is a folk high school in Glimåkra, in Skåne, linked to EFS and the Church of Sweden; the school says it started in 1959 in an old rectory. Among its courses are a ceramics course and a textile course, each lasting one or two years at half time with lessons two days a week. The ceramics course centres on wheel throwing, with hand-building, glazes and slips, and outdoor firings such as raku; the textile course has weaving as its main subject, with fabric printing, felting, dyeing, sashiko embroidery and spinning, and in the second year machine knitting and some garment sewing.
