In short
Gradia, the Jyväskylä education consortium, provides vocational and general upper-secondary education for young people and adults. Its crafts and design programmes and its textiles and fashion programmes are taught at the Kangas campus, in a former paper mill. Crafts and design combines handcraft, technology and culture in the design and making of products, with further paths in craft instruction and interiors; textiles and fashion covers pattern drafting, sewing techniques and machines, preparing for work such as made-to-measure tailoring, sewing and design-product making, and can also be studied in the evenings alongside work.
