In short
Guangdong Polytechnic is a public full-time higher vocational college run by the Guangdong provincial government, with campuses in the Chancheng, Gaoming and Nanhai districts of Foshan. It grew out of the Guangdong Textile Industry School of the mid-1980s, and textiles and clothing remain its leading field. Its School of Fashion offers garment design and craft, with tracks including engineering, made-to-measure, knitwear and smart manufacturing, clothing and costume design, and leather goods design, whose courses cover handbag and shoe design and construction and hand-made leather goods.
