In short
Haliç University in Istanbul was founded in 1998. Its Faculty of Fine Arts, part of the university since 2004, has run a Textile and Fashion Design department since 2006: a four-year bachelor's programme with an aptitude exam that teaches fashion design together with weaving, printing, original fabric development and textile design. The Faculty of Architecture has an Industrial Design department whose curriculum covers design and product development, technical drawing, computer-aided design, prototyping, materials and production methods, and ergonomics, with technical visits to manufacturers.
