In short

Hardy Violins is the workshop of violin maker Emma Hardy in the historic Portland Works building on Randall Street, Sheffield, where she makes instruments to commission, sells instruments and carries out repairs; she studied violin making and repair at Merton College, London. The workshop runs an evening violin-making class for amateurs with no previous woodworking experience, in rolling blocks of five to seven weeks, alongside classes in wooden vase making and tool restoration. All classes are open to beginners and the essential tools are provided.
