The Mulhouse site of the Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR), a higher school of art under the teaching supervision of the French Ministry of Culture, teaches art and textile design at 3 quai des Pêcheurs. It descends from the drawing school applied to the textile industry founded in 1829 by the Société industrielle de Mulhouse. The textile design programme leads to the DNA (bachelor level) and the DNSEP (master level), with projects carried out with textile industry partners and institutions.
