In short
The design faculty of Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) offers a seven-semester bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Fashion Design / Costume Design / Textile Design at its Armgartstraße campus, as well as a master's programme. In workshops and labs students learn pattern making, manufacturing techniques, textile printing, weaving, knitting, dyeing and costume techniques. From 2026 the textile design specialisation no longer accepts new students.
