In short

Product Design at the Saar University of Fine Arts (HBKsaar) in Saarbrücken covers industrial design and social design, dealing with space, proportion, light and colour, materials, sustainability and digitalisation. Students develop ideas from hand sketches and 3D-printed models to full-size prototypes in the school's workshops, including a plaster and ceramics workshop and a digital production centre. Study is modular, leading to a bachelor's degree (eight semesters) or a Diplom (ten semesters).
