In short

HDK-Valand – Academy of Art and Design is part of the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg, with teaching in design, film, photography, fine art, crafts, literary composition and teacher training in art and sloyd. In Gothenburg its Swedish-taught bachelor's programmes include Design, Ceramic Art, Jewellery Art and Textile Art, taught in two buildings in the city centre (Kristinelundsgatan and Vasagatan) with studios and specialised workshops. Its international programmes in crafts and furniture design are taught at Campus Steneby in Dals Långed.
