In short
The conservation-restoration programme of the Haute École Arc, part of the HES-SO University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland, has trained heritage conservation-restoration professionals since 1996. It is one of the four institutions of the Swiss Conservation-Restoration Campus and offers a Bachelor of Arts in Conservation and a Master of Arts in Conservation-Restoration, with specialisations in archaeological and ethnographic objects and in scientific, technical and horological objects. About 70% of the bachelor is conservation techniques and work on heritage objects, alternating workshop practice, internships, site work and projects. It also runs short continuing-education courses, at the Arc 2 campus in Neuchâtel.
