In short
Hechi University is an undergraduate university run by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Hechi, founded in 1951 as a teacher-training school and a university since 2003. Its School of Fine Arts and Design, created in 2018 from an art department dating from 2004, offers five undergraduate programmes, including clothing and costume design and product design, with a garment workshop and a laboratory for the traditional crafts of ethnic minorities of north-western Guangxi. The school states that its teachers have led a national arts fund project on training in Mulao embroidery.
