The Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR) is a public higher education institution in art, communication, design and music, with visual arts sites in Strasbourg, at 1 rue de l'Académie, and in Mulhouse. In Strasbourg its Art-Object programme trains artists through six specially equipped workshops, for jewellery, glass, wood, books, metal and clay and ceramics, some of which date back to the origins of the École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg in 1892. The programme leads to the DNA (bachelor level) and the DNSEP (master level), option Art, Art-Object specialisation, combining technical training, theory and workshop research.
