Hebei University of Science and Technology is a multidisciplinary public university in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, formed from the merger of several institutions including a textile workers' college and a textile industry school. Its School of Textile and Garment traces its roots to a weaving and dyeing programme of 1912, has taught undergraduates since 1981 and offers textile engineering, light chemical engineering, garment design and engineering, clothing and costume design, and performance. The school runs pilot production lines for spinning, weaving, garment making and nonwovens, and a clothing design programme with Sungshin Women's University in Korea.
