In short
The programme in Art Technology, Conservation and Restoration of Art and Cultural Heritage at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts was established in 1974. The five-year course leads directly to a Diplom equivalent to a master's degree and combines scientific subjects with practical conservation work on original works of art. It offers three specialisations: wall painting and architectural polychromy, painting on movable supports, and sculptures and interior furnishings.
