Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences offers a bachelor's programme in textile and clothing technology (TEX), focused on the textile product from classic and functional clothing to technical textiles. From the first semester students develop and make textile products themselves, starting with a men's shirt, and go on to pattern construction, industrial sewing, knitting and weaving on modern machines, dyeing and finishing, textile testing and collection design, alongside engineering and business fundamentals. The programme includes an industrial semester and work in specialised laboratories that students can also use outside classes, and it leads on to a master's in textile and clothing management.
