In short
The Hochschule für Künste Bremen is a university of art and music with around 1,000 students; its Art and Design department, housed in the Speicher XI building, offers fine art and bachelor's and master's programmes in integrated design and digital media. The integrated design programme does not separate product design, fashion design and visual communication into distinct tracks but works through interdisciplinary projects, over seven semesters for the bachelor's and three more for the master's. Students have access to staffed workshops, including fashion and fashion CAD workshops, model making with wood, plastic and metal machines, a ceramics workshop with a glaze laboratory, and a foundry.
