In short

HRD Antwerp is a diamond grading laboratory and education provider headquartered in Antwerp. Its history goes back to the Diamond High Council (Hoge Raad voor Diamant), set up in 1973 by the Belgian government and the diamond industry and split in 2007 into AWDC and HRD Antwerp. Its education arm teaches diamond grading, rough and polished diamonds, gemmology and jewellery design, through academic, professional and retail courses, with diplomas such as Certified Diamond Grader and Gemmology Diploma. Courses are held at its centres, including Antwerp and Mumbai, through partners in other countries and online.
