In short
Hunan Vocational College for Nationalities is a public full-time higher vocational college run by the Yueyang city government, on Xiangbei Avenue in Yueyang; it was upgraded in 2003 from the Yueyang Normal School, founded in 1952. It has eleven teaching schools and 33 programmes. Its School of Creative Design teaches art design, fashion and accessory design, animation, interior art design and cultural creativity and planning. The fashion and accessory design programme, started in 2011, has more than a thousand students, workshops for garment design, construction and digital applications, and hosts the provincial vocational skills competition in garment design and technology.
