IES Tías is a public secondary school in Tías, on Lanzarote, which besides secondary education and the baccalaureate offers an intermediate vocational programme in clothing and fashion and a higher programme in fashion pattern-making. Its Textile, Clothing and Leather department runs projects linking training with heritage and sustainability, such as experiments with bio-fabrics for fashion and furniture and the recovery of the traditional talega bag used by Lanzarote's farmers.
