In short
IFRES is an apprenticeship and continuing-education centre in Lacrouzette, in the granite massif of the Sidobre (Tarn), devoted to the stone trades: stone carving, marble work and engraving. It prepares the CAP tailleur de pierre, the CAP marbrier, a Brevet professionnel in stone trades and the BMA in stone engraving, and runs short courses in engraving, hand lettering on stone, decorative plasters and architectural ornament. According to the site, the Lacrouzette centre opened in 1976 under the aegis of UNICEM.
