The Department of Creative Design and Clothing of the International Hellenic University, in its School of Design Sciences, is based in Kilkis and first operated in the 1999-2000 academic year. Its undergraduate programme covers fashion design, clothing technology and fashion marketing, including the history of art and dress, body measurement, materials and processes, quality control and CAD/CAM for fashion products. Since December 2017 it has had its own campus with laboratories for textiles and quality control, colour physics and chemistry, pattern technology, CAD, sewing technology and spreading and cutting, plus a studio with sewing machines. The department also offers doctoral studies and a programme in graphic and digital visual communication.
