The Department of Design of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, on the Hauz Khas campus in New Delhi, has offered a two-year M.Des. since 1994 and a four-year B.Des. since the 2022–23 academic year, alongside a B.Tech. in design and a PhD. The B.Des. curriculum includes form and material exploration, prototyping and studios in industrial, communication and interaction design, with admission through UCEED. The department's labs include a makerspace with laser cutters, CNC routers and 3D printers, and labs for ergonomics, sustainability and user experience.
