The Department of Jewelry Design of Induk University, a college in Nowon-gu, Seoul, was created in 1977 as a craft design department, introduced a specialised jewellery design curriculum in 1991 and took its present name in 2008; since 2009 it has also offered a bachelor's degree course. The three-year programme moves from drawing, basic metalsmithing and wax modelling to jewellery design and 3D jewellery CAD, and then to fine jewellery, fashion jewellery and capstone projects with industry. The department holds an annual graduation exhibition and invites speakers from the jewellery industry.
