In short

Ingmanedu is a vocational college for the cultural sector at Toivalantie 51 in Toivala, Siilinjärvi, run by the Doctor Matthias Ingman Foundation. The school states that it grew out of the itinerant craft schools started in the Kuopio area in 1903 in the spirit of Matthias Ingman's will, and that it moved to its own premises in Toivala in 1917. Students can train in clothing and fashion (design, sewing, styling and alterations), textile design and interiors (design textiles or interior textiles), craft instruction and cabinetmaking, where the wood artisan designs and makes furniture, fittings, interior products and small objects, alongside image, video, game and event studies.
