Inscape is a private higher education institution for design that began in 1981 as the Inscape Study Centre in Johannesburg and today runs several learning hubs in South Africa, plus distance learning; its Cape Town hub is at 9 Somerset Road, De Waterkant, with studios, a workshop, a library and a materials sample collection. In fashion it offers a three-year Bachelor of Design specialising in Fashion Design, covering pattern, textile and garment technology and sustainable design, as well as a Higher Certificate in Fashion Design and a fundamental course. Its other programmes include interior design and decorating, ideation design, graphic design and architectural technology. The site does not say at which hubs each fashion course is taught.
