In short

The Institut Escola de Teixits is a public textile vocational school in Canet de Mar, on the Maresme coast north of Barcelona. It continues the Escola de Teixits de Canet de Mar, founded in 1922, and became an independent centre in the 2025/26 school year, separating from the Institut Lluís Domènech i Montaner. It teaches cycles in textile manufacturing and finishing, garment-making and fashion, and pattern making, and higher artistic cycles in textile garments and textile art, with workshops in printing and dyeing, low-warp weaving, embroidery and lace, and tapestry and rugs.
