In short
The Institute of Design of Nirma University, on the Sarkhej–Gandhinagar Highway in Ahmedabad, offers two Bachelor of Design programmes, in Product and Interaction Design and in Communication Design, after a common foundation year. The product programme covers mechanical and intelligent product design, furniture design, packaging, CAD, 3D printing and prototyping, and final-semester subjects include toy, automobile and furniture design. Teaching takes place in studios, classrooms, workshops and fieldwork, and the course ends with an 18-week degree project.
