In short

The College of Design of Iowa State University in Ames groups art and design disciplines under one roof and offers a Bachelor and a Master of Industrial Design, both accredited by NASAD. Industrial design students work on model making and prototyping, from traditional shaping tools such as saws and sanders to laser cutting and rapid prototyping, after a common first-year core design programme. The college also offers an undergraduate minor in textile design.
