Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta is a state arts institute in Surakarta, Central Java. Its Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, at the Mojosongo campus, offers programmes including crafts (Kriya), batik fashion design, an applied bachelor's (D4) in traditional keris weaponry, industrial product design and interior design. The institute traces its origins to the Akademi Seni Karawitan Indonesia (ASKI) Surakarta, opened in 1964; it became STSI Surakarta in 1988 and ISI Surakarta in 2006.
