In short

ISIA Firenze is a public university-level institute devoted entirely to design, part of the Italian AFAM system, housed in the former stables of Villa Strozzi at via Pisana 79. Founded in 1975, following the industrial design course set up in Florence in 1962, it offers a three-year course in design and two-year courses in industrial product and systems design and in communication and digital product design, as well as an industrial doctorate. It has also run, with the Florence Academy of Fine Arts and CNA Toscana, a master in design for craftsmanship focused on fashion accessories.
