In short
The Vocational School of Technical Sciences of Isparta University of Applied Sciences, set up in 2007, offers two-year associate-degree programmes in Isparta. Its Traditional Handicrafts programme, which started in 1985 as a carpet-weaving department, trains students in carpet and kilim weaving, fabric weaving, pattern design, ceramics, felt, marbling (ebru), illumination (tezhip) and miniature painting. The school also has a textile technology programme. The university's Gönen Vocational School, in the town of Gönen, teaches jewellery making and design, architectural decorative arts and fashion design.
