Jingdezhen Ceramic University, in Jingdezhen (Jiangxi Province), describes itself as the only multidisciplinary university in China named after ceramics. It traces its origins to the China Ceramic School founded in 1910, became Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in 1958 and took its current name in 2016. Its teaching combines ceramic art and design with ceramic materials engineering, at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level, on two campuses, Xianghu and Xinchang.
