Konst & Kulturakademien

In short

Konst & Kulturakademien, run by Folkuniversitetet, offers programmes that prepare for higher studies or for a profession in art, writing, animation, architecture, design and crafts; it was formed by merging Konstskolan, Arkitekturskolan STHLM, the full-time programmes of Skrivarakademin and Animationsakademien, and its main building is at Kräftriket in Stockholm. Its one-year Silversmithing and Jewellery Design programme is taught in the smithy on Drottninggatan in central Stockholm, covering silversmithing, design, jewellery art, stone setting and metal casting; the one-year Ceramics programme is based in the former porcelain factory in Gustavsberg, and there is also a Product Design programme. The programmes are approved by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education and qualify for student finance.
